Our client, within Queensland State Government, has an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of building and infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. The role is responsible for coordinating project activities, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage all aspects of project implementation, including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration, and post-construction activities. You will help ensure the final building product is fit for purpose and meets client expectations.
* Manage projects to achieve agreed scope, time, cost, cash flow, and quality outcomes while maintaining strong day-to-day communication with clients and stakeholders.
* Coordinating project staff, consultants, contractors, and internal business units to achieve project objectives.
* Contract coordination across traditional and non-traditional contract arrangements, lead negotiations with consultants, local authorities, stakeholders, clients, and contractors, and contribute professional advice that supports value-for-money outcomes and effective stakeholder management.
* Monitor project performance, manage time and cost variances, undertake project audits where required, and support fee setting and client billing approvals in collaboration with senior project leaders.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated project management experience in building or construction-related environments.
* Valid C Class driver's licence.
* Commitment to workplace health and safety.
* Familiarity with the Far North Queensland region.
