The Role
As a Principal Solicitor or Consultant you will play a pivotal role in providing holistic legal services and contributing to the growth and success of our firm.
Core Practice Areas
Our core practice areas include Wills, Estates & Probate and Property Law (primarily Conveyancing), with growing involvement in related areas such as Commercial Law, Leases, Business Transfers, and Superannuation/TPD claims.
Responsibilities
Estate Planning & Probate
Independently manage Wills, POAs, Enduring Guardianships (clear client communication essential). Experience with trusts, Letters of Administration, Probate, estate administration, and litigation highly desirable.
Property Law
End‑to‑end management of residential (primarily QLD purchase) conveyancing; potential NSW/other states. Provide independent loan advice valued. SMSF property experience a plus.
Commercial & Other Property Law
Support business sales/purchases; review/prepare Commercial/Retail Leases. Understanding of the Corporations Act beneficial.
Additional Legal Services
Provide services in Superannuation/TPD claims and related litigation.
Client Relationships & Business Development
Build strong client relationships, manage referrals, and contribute to business development (commission potential).
Case Management
Oversee and manage complex legal cases.
Compliance & Legal Updates
Stay current with legal developments and ensure compliance.
Administrative Efficiency
Handle file opening, notes, Costs Agreements, and Invoices efficiently.
Qualifications
* QLD Law degree and either hold or be eligible for an unrestricted Principal Practising Certificate.
* 1–2+ years PQE with proven experience in Wills & Estates, Property (Conveyancing), and Commercial Law.
* Estate administration, litigation, leases, business transfers, Superannuation/TPD claims, and government law experience highly valued.
* Confident in independently managing conveyancing and wills & estates matters end‑to‑end.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; calm, capable, and solutions‑focused.
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and be a positive, professional team player.
* Commitment to high‑quality, client‑focused legal services.
* Experience with Smokeball, InfoTrack, and PEXA (desirable).
* Desire for a long‑term career in a supportive environment.
* Humble, hardworking attitude with strong professionalism and client focus.
