From signature community celebrations and destination‐defining major events to growing our business events pipeline and convention opportunities, this role will drive event attraction, strategic development and delivery across the region.

You'll lead a passionate and high‐performing team, work alongside committed industry and government partners, and help position Moreton Bay as a leading events destination in Queensland.

About the role

* Driving event attraction opportunities across major events, sport and MICE
* Identifying and developing future‐focused opportunities connected to Brisbane 2032
* Supporting the growth of business events and convention opportunities across Moreton Bay
* Leading and mentoring a collaborative and high‐performing Events team
* Building strong partnerships with industry, sponsors, government and community stakeholders
* Overseeing event planning, governance, budgets, risk and operational performance
* Contributing to broader organisational leadership, destination growth and economic development outcomes
About you

You're a strategic and commercially minded leader who thrives in fast‐paced environments and loves bringing ideas to life.

You'll bring:

* Significant leadership experience in events, destination management, tourism or related industries
* Experience delivering or overseeing major events, festivals, sporting events or business events
* Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, partnerships and event investment
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship‐building skills
* A collaborative leadership style and passion for developing teams
* Big‐picture strategic thinking balanced with operational capability and attention to detail
* A genuine passion for place, people and creating memorable visitor and community experiences

This is more than an events role—it's an opportunity to help shape the future of a destination.

At TEMB, you'll join a passionate team doing meaningful work that supports tourism growth, community pride and regional economic impact.

We offer
* A senior leadership opportunity with genuine influence and strategic scope
* Flexible and supportive working arrangements
* A collaborative and high‐performing team culture
* The opportunity to work across major regional projects and high‐profile events
* A dynamic and varied role with room to innovate and lead
* A workplace connected to lifestyle, community and purpose in one of South East Queensland's fastest growing regions
