Purpose of the Role
Be part of a team of delivery specialists in creating the best digital experiences for our customers. You'll engage with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure all parts of the features we deliver meet or exceed expectations as part of a complex financial system.
Brief Description
You'll be a part of a significant strategy to create and maintain Australia's best web-based digital platforms for quoting, selling, and managing insurance policies. With a key focus being customer experience, the platforms allow our customers' channel of choice without compromise of experience.
As a key member of a delivery team, you'll ensure each of the projects you're responsible for is set up for success by being the key interface, managing risks, reporting, workshops, alignment across delivery streams as needed, communications and enablement of the projects to complete successful delivery.

Position Accountabilities
Achieve specific business outcomes by delivering customer, consultant and business-focused digital web solutions for quoting, selling, and managing insurance policies.
Manage projects from inception to close through Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling phases.
Engage in, and perform key Agile duties with your delivery teams, typically running Steering Groups, Stakeholder Sessions, Post-Implementation Reviews and discovery workshops.
Work closely with subject matter experts and / or business representatives to analyse and understand business needs, expectations and constraints.
Take ownership of the entire project lifecycle : designing and delivering comprehensive project plans, proactively mitigating risks, and ensuring all deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to the required standard, ultimately exceeding stakeholder expectations.
Assess risks and issues and develop plans aimed at effectively removing and / or managing them.
Actively engage with technology counterparts to ensure timely delivery of initiatives and projects.
Assist in providing recommendations for resource allocation, including early identification and reporting of capability and capacity issues or constraints to management.
Provide effective representation at project meetings (both internal and cross-departmental).
Timely delivery of status reports and other project documentation as required.
Identify areas of ongoing development and improvement to the delivery and Project Management Framework, including :
Achievement of assigned project tasks within agreed time frames; and
Increasing Effectiveness of Project Delivery
Work closely with the change management department to create and implement change and communication plans.
Actively contribute to a Community of Practice to ensure alignment across the Project Manager role in the delivery process.
Champion a culture of risk and compliance across the division
Maintain awareness, understanding and compliance with Company policies and procedures, including the on-time completion of mandatory training.
Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrated experience in the field of Project Management, including the application of tools and techniques of PMP, Prince2 or similar methodologies (Min. 5 years experience).
Demonstrated experience in process improvement and / or system enhancement in the Software development area.
Demonstrated ability to organise and lead project teams.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation to drive successful delivery of outcomes.
Demonstrated a high level of organisational and prioritisation skills.
Excellent communication, consultation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously.
A "can do", team-focused attitude.
Demonstrated time-management skills.
Capacity to understand complex business principles and concepts.
IT literacy and the ability to learn new systems.
Financial Services / Insurance experience, preferably in General Insurance (would be highly regarded but not essential).
Tertiary Qualifications in a business-related discipline (ideal, but not essential).
Well-developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations to operate in the FSR workplace.
Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2 or similar) (ideal, but not essential).
