The Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) oversees the supervision of children and young people in the Victorian criminal justice system. Youth Justice is responsible for overseeing services responding to children and young people in the criminal justice system, providing strategic advice and delivering strategic outcomes to address youth crime and reduce offending.
The Community Operations & Practice Team provides leadership, oversight and advice to support the ongoing development of state-wide community-based youth justice services.
Reporting to the Manager, the Project and Administration Support Officer will provide high-level administration and project management support to the Community Operations and Practice team to enhance the delivery of operational oversight and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-level administration and project management support to the Community Operations and Practice team;
* Effectively manage the organising of meetings, forums, coordinating papers, venues, preparing agendas and taking minutes as required;
* Undertake project tasks under direction and prepare written correspondence, reports and briefings as required;
To be successful in this role you will have experience providing high-level administrative support or secretariat support, including coordination of meetings and technical writing.
You will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check, which you will need to maintain for the period of employment.
