These programs include essential statutory inspections and checks to meet relevant legislation, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards. The team also provides a reliable 24/7 corrective maintenance and breakdown service to support facilities throughout the Rockhampton region.
About the role
* Carry out high-quality painting and finishing work on buildings, structures, and surfaces, both internally and externally.
* Prepare worksites and surfaces by sanding, scraping, patching, protecting fixtures, and setting up scaffolding when required.
* Mix and apply paints, varnishes, and finishes using a range of tools to achieve the desired results.
* Follow workplace health and safety policies, promoting safe practices and complying with legislation and industry standards.
* Review project plans, estimate costs, and complete additional duties as directed by the BEMS senior management team.
About you
* You hold a recognised trade or professional qualification with relevant industry registration where required.
* You have demonstrated leadership experience managing building trade teams, including carpentry, plumbing, fitting, and grounds staff.
* You possess strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, time management, and computer literacy skills, and you can work independently.
* You have knowledge of specialised hospital systems and equipment, including areas such as Theatre, Intensive Care, and Coronary Care Units.
* You have experience or the ability to quickly learn Computerised Maintenance Management Systems/S4HANA, including data management, reporting, compliance, and administrative support tasks.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $103,065 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $36.92 - $56.03 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
* 17.5% leave loading
