About Our Role
* Permanent, full‐time day work position at Simplot Bathurst
* Monday – Friday day work ****hrs – ****hrs
* Base hourly rate of $***** + applicable shift loadings & site allowances, where applicable
* Electrical licence allowance $***** per week + tool allowance $***** per week

* Work with a variety of fixed‐plant food processing equipment within a up‐to‐date, state‐of‐the‐art manufacturing facility
What You Will Do
* Reporting to the Maintenance Manager (via the Electrical Team Lead), the Maintenance Electrician will perform planned, opportunity and breakdown electrical activities on a wide range of fixed plant and equipment in alignment with the site's Maintenance & Production schedules that support optimisation of plant reliability, improvements related to employee safety, and site continuous improvement activities.
* Identify faults and perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime and micro‐stops caused by production machinery and equipment
* Inspect, test and maintain machinery & equipment in production areas and wider plant buildings & facilities
* Work with PLC and electronically controlled system diagnostics, fault finding, programming and connections
* Perform general plant and building maintenance work
* Undertake specific project work upon request
* Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Simplot Safety, Health & Wellbeing + Environmental policies & procedures
* Utilise MEX CMMS to update work orders, search asset history and advise on any maintenance trends or opportunities for improvement and innovation
* Take part in continuous improvement (CI) activities
About You
* Possess a 100% commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace
* Minimum 5 years electrical experience within a manufacturing / FMCG environment
* Hold a Cert III Electrotechnology (mandatory), with a Cert III Instrumentation and Control being advantageous
* Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding and troubleshooting skills
* Experience in safety & quality systems and procedures
* Ability to read and interpret schematics
* Sound judgement and decision‐making ability
* Possess a high level of both written and verbal communication skills in addition to time management skills
* Intermediate user of CMMS software (noting that Simplot uses MEX) & MS Windows OS
* Willingness to undergo a pre‐employment medical (incl. urine‐based drug & alcohol screening)
