Junior Project Manager 6 month contract Your new company You'll be joining a well-established global organisation within a small, collaborative technology team based in Brisbane (Eight Mile Plains). This is an initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension, offering a hybrid working model (2-3 days in the office). The environment is supportive and ideal for someone stepping into delivery ownership within a contained, lower-complexity setting. Your New Role As a Junior Project Manager, you will act as the primary delivery lead for a small development team. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping delivery organised, on track, and well communicated rather than driving large-scale transformation programs.You will: Take ownership of end-to-end delivery across a defined set of workstreams Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring clear visibility of progress Maintain key project artefacts such as project plans, RAID logs, and status reports Deliver structured weekly updates and escalate risks/issues where appropriate Coordinate activities between technology and business stakeholders Facilitate key Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) Support backlog prioritisation alongside the Product Owner Keep tools such as Jira and Confluence up to date This role is well suited to someone who has stepped up from a Project Coordinator or Junior PM background and is ready to take on more accountability in a supportive environment. What You'll Need to Succeed To thrive in this role, you'll bring: 3-6 years' experience in Project Coordination or Junior Project Management Experience owning delivery for smaller projects or workstreams Strong understanding of project delivery fundamentals (planning, tracking, RAID management) Practical experience with Agile/Scrum practices and facilitating ceremonies Excellent organisation and coordination skills, with the ability to drive follow-ups Strong communication skills, engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar You'll be proactive, structured, and confident escalating where needed, rather than solving highly complex blockers independently.
