About the Role
You will be responsible for providing chair-side assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to patients.
You will also assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records as well as other duties as required by the Dentist including promotion of oral health to patients and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery.
This is a permanent part time opportunity.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Australian Citizenship for Commonwealth Security Clearance purposes
Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients within a dental surgery.
About Enoggera Health Centre
Enoggera Health Centre is located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, and provides support to Gallipoli, Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks.
Established in ****, this modern military base currently spans 600 hectares with approximately **** members.
The largest base in South Queensland, it incorporates the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters, a major manoeuvre formation, local support facilities and a range of training facilities.
The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services.
This facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The standard operating hours of the centre are generally ********* Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend shifts).
About You
You have a professional and friendly manner and enjoy interacting with patients and assisting the dental team with a range of support activities.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, you take pride in contributing to the cleanliness and effectiveness of a dental surgery environment and assisting your team wherever possible.
You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do.
You are passionate about providing dental support services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients.
