About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our teams at Brunswick Private Hospital and Epworth Freemasons Private Hospital. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering efficient and patient-focused pharmacy services while working closely with pharmacists, hospital staff, and patients.
This is a great opportunity to broaden your experience across different hospital settings, gain exposure to a range of pharmacy services, and further develop your skills in a supportive and friendly team environment.
Rostered Hours: 10:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, working across both sites (Brunswick Private Hospital initially, then Epworth Freemasons Private Hospital).
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, dispense and supply medications for hospital inpatients and outpatients
* Assist in processing and maintaining imprest levels, and managing hospital ward stock
* Reconcile and manage prescriptions and patient medication discharge profiles
* Provide support to patients, carers and hospital staff
* Process PBS claims and assist in producing medication profiles to hospital patients on discharge
* Confidently complete administrative and record keeping duties
* Customer service and front of shop management

Eligibility Criteria
* Previous experience dispensing medication
* Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
