About the Role
We are seeking passionate and reliable professionals to provide support services for individuals with disabilities or older adults in their own homes.
This role requires a high level of empathy and understanding, enabling clients to live comfortably and independently. As a support worker, you will be responsible for:
* Accompanying clients to medical appointments, social events, community gatherings, and recreational activities, ensuring their safety and comfort while encouraging active participation.
* Facilitating meaningful social connections by joining clients for coffee, walks, or other leisure activities, reducing isolation and promoting engagement.
* Supporting clients with daily tasks such as meal planning, preparation, and serving, maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
* Assisting clients with light household chores like cleaning, laundry, and tidying to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
* Providing personal care assistance to qualified workers, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting in a respectful and sensitive manner.
* Reminding clients to take prescribed medications on time and assisting with administration following care plans where qualified.
* Upholding the highest standards of privacy, confidentiality, and dignity when supporting clients, respecting their rights and individual preferences.
* Monitoring and reporting any changes in client health or behavior to the relevant supervisor to ensure timely and appropriate care.
