The Role
Due to recent growth in clients and repeat business opportunities, our QLD team is looking for a Civil Engineer with a passion for the Built Environment to be based on the Gold Coast. Our team delivers a broad range of technically complex built‐form and civil infrastructure projects across the urban renewal, transport infrastructure, health, schools and community sector.
As part of our Civil team in QLD, you will play a key part in:
* Delivering various built‐form and urban development projects.
* Managing projects and delivery of engineering investigation, assessment, and design and construction management documentation across a range of sectors.
* Designing roads, bulk earthworks and drainage.
* Managing and communicating project requirements to sub‐consultants, contractors, architects and developers.
* Utilising a variety of civil design packages to achieve multi‐discipline project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
* Ideally 3+ years of post‐qualification local experience working as a civil engineering consultant on built‐form projects.
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
* Experience in preparing detailed design and documentation of roads, intersections, pavements, earthworks and stormwater drainage.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working autonomously.
* Understanding of local government regulatory frameworks and statutory compliance requirements.
* Strong grasp and track record of using 12D.
* Competent and independent use of other civil modelling software such as DRAINS, MUSIC, Autoturn and AutoCAD.
* Organising and coordinating people and work decisively.
* Excellent communication skills – able to speak, write clearly, concisely and compellingly.
* Creative problem‐solving skills to constantly find ways to overcome challenges and obstacles.
* Strong team ethic to work collaboratively across multiple offices.
* Handle interruptions, changes and challenges with resilience.
