About The Role
Health Infrastructure Queensland is seeking to appoint two Executive Directors to lead major infrastructure delivery portfolios across South East Queensland.
These appointments will be made through a single recruitment process, with candidates considered for one of two geographically aligned portfolios:
Executive Director – SEQ Delivery (North)
Responsible for projects across Metro North, Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay and Darling Downs, with a strong focus on hospital expansion, upgrades and geographically dispersed delivery.
Executive Director – SEQ Delivery (South)
Responsible for Metro South, Gold Coast and West Moreton, including the delivery of large-scale, high-value and time-critical projects such as the new Coomera Hospital, one of the largest hospital developments undertaken in Australia.
Each Executive Director will lead the delivery of complex, multi-billion-dollar capital programs within a high-profile and high-accountability environment. These roles are critical to ensuring major health infrastructure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in alignment with broader service and system priorities.
Where the successful candidate brings highly relevant skills and experience, remuneration may be negotiated.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead geographically focused, multidisciplinary teams embedded within hospital campuses
* Oversee the full lifecycle of capital projects, including scope, schedule, budget and resource management
* Drive delivery outcomes across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring performance against time, cost and quality objectives
* Integrate commercial, operational, commissioning and digital requirements into project delivery
* Navigate complex stakeholder environments, balancing clinical, operational and commercial priorities
* Lead governance, risk management and assurance processes across high-value programs
The Portfolios Include Both
* major hospital expansion and upgrade programs addressing ageing infrastructure and population growth, and
* complex, high-risk infrastructure delivery requiring advanced systems thinking, particularly in areas such as electrification and digital network resilience.
These roles sit at the centre of a high-profile delivery environment, with significant expectations around pace, performance and accountability.
