Role Overview
In the role of Small Business Banker, you will join the Small Business Banking team that's doubling down on customer obsession!
Responsibilities
* Own and grow a portfolio of high‐value small business customers, delivering holistic banking solutions
* Build deep relationships across customers, referrers and internal partners to unlock new business opportunities
* Combine lending expertise with commercial insight to drive revenue, risk outcomes and customer satisfaction (NPS)
* Manage lending and product requirements for a portfolio of ~100 small business customers, with business lending up to $2m
* Deliver end‐to‐end customer solutions through strong needs analysis, cross‐sell and referral activity
* Actively manage Salesforce opportunities and national leads to grow pipeline and conversion
* Perform credit analysis and approve temporary excesses or limit increases within delegated authority (DCA)
* Drive portfolio risk, compliance, complaints resolution and customer retention outcomes
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a business or commercial lending role
* Strong financial and business acumen with a sound understanding of credit and risk frameworks
* Demonstrated ability to build, manage and grow long‐term customer relationships
* Customer‐centric mindset with the ability to deliver high‐quality conversations across multiple channels
* DCA accreditation and tertiary qualifications in Business desirable but not essential
