We are looking for a hands-on Factory Supervisor to lead daily operations at our destruction facility.
You will work with the State Manager and other teams to make sure operations run safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This role suits someone who is mechanically minded, comfortable with technology, and confident making decisions on the floor in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead daily site operations to meet production and service targets
* Oversee sorting, processing, and dispatch of materials
* Operate and troubleshoot shredding and processing equipment
* Reduce downtime by identifying and fixing issues quickly
* Manage vehicle movements, including safe loading and unloading
* Keep the site clean, organised, and running smoothly
* Track performance using systems and reports
* Improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
* Manage staff, equipment, and workload to maximise output
* Train, coach, and support team members
* Work with customer service, logistics, and sales teams
* Ensure safety and compliance with WHS, EPA, and NAID AAA standards
* Keep accurate records and reports
Qualifications
* Experience in production, manufacturing, logistics, or similar high-volume work
* Supervisory or team leadership experience
* Mechanical and equipment knowledge
* Forklift licence (preferred)
* Comfortable using systems and technology
* Strong focus on safety and following procedures
* Good communication and leadership skills
* Organised and able to manage competing priorities
* Problem-solving and adaptable approach
* Experience with compliance standards is a plus
