Opportunity
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our team at Oolong Hostel in our Riverina Murray Region. A great opportunity exists, with availability required on weekends, for someone to perform cooking and kitchen duties.
Duties
We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents, by providing and maintaining a high standard of cooking and food service within the facility.
Qualifications and experience
* Experienced in planning, preparation and cooking fresh meals.
* Experience in table service and clearing duties.
* Experience in working in a fast‐paced kitchen and or bulk food preparation – desirable.
* Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level.
* Experience in Aged Care – desirable.
* Current First Aid Certificate – desirable.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Team player who is highly motivated.
* Availability to work various shifts across various days.
Pre‐employment screening
* Vaccinated in accordance with UPA's Immunisation and Vaccination Policy (including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID‐19 vaccine and annual influenza).
* Undertake a National Criminal History Check.
* Pre‐Employment Medical Assessment.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory of all pre‐employment checks.
