Manager Network Services - Fixed Term until Dec 2026
We are seeking an Influential Leader to join the Reserve Bank of Australia on a Fixed Term Salaried Contract until December 2026. The role will empower and develop the team to achieve its goals and deliver outstanding service, with responsibilities in operational excellence, service delivery, people management and governance of IT Network Services.
Responsibilities
- Create a values-aligned culture that enables high staff engagement, enablement and achievement.
- Lead a team in developing innovative capabilities spanning network, converged infrastructure and hybrid cloud.
- Lead improvements in monitoring and automation across the Bank\'s networks.
- Identify and lead evaluation and implementation of improvements to continually improve robustness of the Bank\'s communications services.
- Identify and respond to issues, risks and opportunities, ensuring processes and resources deliver technology solutions to agreed service levels.
- Enable and recognise employee performance to encourage continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the improvement of policies, systems and processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards and disciplined documentation.
- Accountable for delivery of business service level commitments and measurement of performance, including continuous availability of network services.
- Accountable for asset management, lifecycle, obsolescence & capacity planning.
- Own IT Network Services governance & compliance with the Bank\'s policies and procedures.
- Ensure multiple layers of incident response capability are available for continuous management of IT infrastructure issues.
- Work to simplify, rationalise & improve services to address current and future needs of the Bank.
- Work to implement Agile methodologies and rituals across the team.
Skills and Experience
- Degree qualification and up-to-date industry accreditations including ITIL and Cisco.
- Experience leading and driving creative capabilities and continuous improvement across network, converged infrastructure and cloud.
- Experience leading, developing and motivating IT Infrastructure and Operations teams.
- Broad knowledge of industry standards and IT policies and processes.
- Ability to monitor and guide activities throughout service delivery and project lifecycles, including measurement and compliance.
- Ability to own and communicate responsibilities related to health, safety and wellbeing, including psychological wellbeing.
- Experience managing risks and issues to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems.
- Extensive experience delivering large-scale, mission-critical IT network operations.
- Experience in Enterprise IT Network technology and Hybrid Cloud.
- Advanced knowledge of IT Network services covering data, voice and video.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
