Job Summary

Responsibilities
* Leadership: Serve as a Responsible Engineer for GNC products, conduct technical assessments such as concept studies, trade studies and COTS solution analyses; follow and participate in product development processes, including requirements definition, design, verification and validation; represent the GNC discipline in program reviews, technical exchanges and stakeholder briefings; establish best practices for GNC verification and validation (V&V) (hardware‐in‐the‐loop testing, Monte Carlo simulations and operational rehearsals); integrate GNC subsystems with avionics, software, mechanical, propulsion and mission operations teams to ensure system‐level performance and reliability; build, lead and mentor a high‐performing GNC team; ensure all engineering activities adhere to company policies and procedures and fulfil other duties as requested by management.
* Technical: Develop linear and non‐linear models of control system plant dynamics and effectors for launch vehicles; iterate and improve upon the existing flight algorithm stack for navigation, guidance and control; drive continuous improvement of tools, automation and analytical pipelines supporting design, analysis and operations; analyse performance, stability and robustness of flight algorithms; optimise launch vehicle trajectories; design and implement simulation and visualisation tools; propagate complex uncertainty models using numerical methods (e.g. Monte Carlo methods); conduct analyses and design studies for future vehicles in a multi‐disciplinary team; characterise the natural environments for launch vehicles including wind and space radiation; apply data analysis techniques to validate models from test data.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Minimum of a Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Physics or Aerospace / Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a relevant STEM degree.
* 4+ years of experience in professional GNC, flight software or robotics design engineering settings (excluding internships).
* Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a fast‐paced, team‐oriented environment, demonstrating resilience in high‐stress situations and a supportive approach with team members.
* Demonstrated experience with programming in Python, MATLAB or other high‐level languages.
* Demonstrated experience with low‐level development language (e.g. C++, C).
* Experience with git workflows or equivalent version control system.
* Experience with software verification and validation, as well as working in a continuous integration environment.
* Experience working within a Systems Engineering framework.
* Ability to obtain NV1 Security Clearance.
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Strong command of control theory and proven experience in control systems design.
* Experience in launch vehicle, missile, UAV or satellite programmes.
* Experience in simulator development.
* Familiarity with Linux‐based environments, scripting and containerised toolchains.
* Understanding of sensor and actuator hardware (IMU, GNSS, EMA).
