Job Title: Electrical Assembler (Product Electrical Technician)
Location: Hallam
Job Summary
Responsible for assembling, testing, commissioning, and repairing electrical equipment based on customer specifications, drawings, and standards. This includes panel wiring, component fitting, and machine commissioning in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble and wire electrical panels and gear trays
* Fit and connect components and cables per specifications
* Conduct fault finding, testing, and commissioning of machines
* Use electrical drawings, diagrams, and standards
* Perform compliance checks and functional verification
* Apply OH&S regulations and workplace safety practices
* Troubleshoot and repair low voltage circuits and apparatus
* Use relevant computer applications and measurement tools
Selection Criteria
Qualifications:
* Electrical Fitter qualification or equivalent
* Connect/disconnect certification (preferred)
Experience & Knowledge:
* 2-3 years in electrical assembly, including panel building
* Skilled in reading electrical schematics and engineering drawings
* Experience with soldering, wiring, and using hand tools
Skills & Attributes:
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and workplace software
* Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime
