JOB DESCRIPTIONRemarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world.Wood is currently seeking expressions of interest for a full-time Quality Assurance Welding Inspector for upcoming Stay in Business (SIB) and Project work in regional Victoria.The role of the QA Welding Inspector is to ensure all mechanical activities meet quality requirements according to drawings, specifications, standards, and codes supported by appropriate testing and inspection records.#LI-SiteRESPONSIBILITIESScope of WorkAS1796 and/or AS2214 Welding SupervisorCSWIP 3.1 or IIW IWI B Welding InspectorWitness ITP hold pointsNACE Level 3Coordinate site PWHT and NDT activitiesWitness hydrostatic pressure testsMaintain welding traceability recordsJoint fit-up inspections prior to weldingMonitor welding inputs as per WPS'sWork with the QA/QC coordinator to ensure ITPs and QA documentation are inputted as requiredWork with Supervisors to ensure all activities (e.g., removals, installation, hydro testing, ITP hold points, completions) are carried out in accordance with drawings, standards, and specifications:Ensure all checks and testing are completed as per the ITP, providing QC signoffs on hold point steps as requiredProvide final inspection of construction work and create a list of outstanding punchlist items if requiredDocument non-conformancesWork with Mechanical/Hot work Supervisors to ensure installation drawings have been as builtOversee coating and corrosion control measures, ensuring adherence to NACE Level 3 requirementsEnsure construction activities are supported by appropriate QA documents, revise and create these as requiredEnsure all QA information is compiled and provide completed work packs back to the client post construction activitiesSupport the development of work packs as requiredQUALIFICATIONSWhat makes you remarkable?Expected:In-depth knowledge of welding and fabrication activitiesIn-depth knowledge of Australian and international StandardsCert III Fabrication / EngineeringPrevious live plant and brownfield construction in the Oil & Gas IndustryDesirable Qualifications:NACE Level 3Oversee coating and corrosion control measures, ensuring adherence to NACE Level 3 requirementsInsulation and Cladding Inspection expertise per NORSOK or equivalentCandidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.If you're an experienced QA Welding Inspector, ready for your next challenge, then we are keen to hear from you today.Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity!ABOUT USWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
