About the Role: We are seeking a Head of Data Governance, Privacy, and Regulatory Analytics to lead and shape the organisation’s approach to regulatory data strategy, privacy frameworks, and governance. This is a pivotal leadership role in a highly data-driven environment, working closely with regulators and senior stakeholders to ensure compliance while driving innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Data Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to meet regulatory requirements, including Economic and Financial Statistics (EFS) reporting and Open Banking compliance.
- Regulator Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies such as APRA, ASIC ACCC and OAIC, ensuring accurate and transparent communication.
- Data Governance Leadership: Establish and maintain frameworks for data ownership, lineage, and retention, ensuring the integrity and quality of critical data elements (CDEs).
- Privacy Oversight: Manage first-line privacy responsibilities, including Privacy Impact Assessments and embedding privacy by design into business processes.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with risk, compliance, and technology teams to deliver integrated data solutions aligned with regulatory and business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of evolving regulatory requirements, driving innovation and efficiency in data systems and reporting processes.
What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a dynamic leader with a strong regulatory focus, technical expertise, and the ability to bridge the gap between data systems and compliance.
- Proven leadership in data governance within financial services, including managing CDEs, data lineage, and retention.
- Extensive experience in regulatory reporting, particularly EFS and Open Banking standards.
- Strong technical understanding of data systems and architecture.
- Demonstrated success in engaging with regulators and representing organisational positions.
- Hands-on experience with privacy frameworks, including Privacy Impact Assessments.
- Exceptional communication skills to translate complex regulatory requirements for diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate regulatory changes and their implications.
- Relevant industry qualifications/professional certifications in risk management or compliance.
