Recruitmark is partnered with a well-established and growing organisation seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the company's financial operations, governance, and performance. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring strong financial health, compliance, and sustainable growth across the business.
You will oversee end-to-end financial management including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and internal controls. Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide clear commercial insights to support decision-making while driving process improvements, efficiency, and financial discipline across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing financial reporting across weekly and monthly cycles, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
* Establishing and maintaining robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and asset protection
* Delivering accurate and timely financial statements and analysis to support informed strategic decision-making by senior leadership
* Managing end-to-end finance operations including AP, AR, payroll, treasury, and coordination with external auditors and regulators
* Driving financial system improvements, ERP optimisation, audit preparation, and continuous improvement across finance processes and team capability
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience
* Strong technical accounting capability with sound knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
* Exposure to commercial contracting principles with the ability to apply them in a business context
* Proficiency in modern accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and contribute to shared business outcomes
