MACA is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at the Gruyere Gold Mine operation on a permanent FIFO 8:6 roster. This role will provide proactive HR support and guidance to site leaders, employees and the client's HR team across all areas of Human Resources. The HR Business Partner will partner closely with operational leaders to support employee relations, people case management, performance management, workforce planning, and employee development initiatives, while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant employment legislation.
Key Result Areas
* Act as the first point of contact for HR enquiries from leaders and employees.
* Provide advice and support across employee relations, people case management, performance management, and employee development matters.
* Build strong working relationships with site teams, leaders, and corporate stakeholders.
* Support talent management, succession planning, and workforce planning initiatives.
* Coach and support leaders to build HR capability and drive high-performance outcomes.
* Coordinate employee life cycle processes, including objective setting, performance reviews, remuneration reviews, and talent assessments.
* Prepare and analyse HR and People metrics and workforce reports ensuring data credibility, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
* Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with legislation and company requirements.
* Support grievance, disciplinary, and capability investigations and processes in a fair and consistent manner.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes, workplace culture, and organisational performance.
* Promote and uphold the company's values, safety standards, and commitment to professional development.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a technically focused HR generalist role, ideally within the mining and resources, heavy industry, or a similar sector.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or significant equivalent HR experience.
* Strong understanding of the employment lifecycle, employment legislation, regulatory and compliance frameworks, and employee demobilisation processes.
* Sound working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation, with the ability to apply them effectively in day-to-day operations.
* High attention to detail with strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate documentation and data.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Hold a valid Australian "C" Class driver's licence.
