About the role
Reporting to the Head of Network Asset Management, as Manager Asset Standards and Governance you will lead the development and execution of a consistent governance framework that enables improved asset performance, risk management and cost‐effective service delivery for the Central Queensland Coal Network. You will set and provide the direction for standards, ensuring alignment to industry best practice and business objectives, and you will drive accountability for consistent compliance and performance outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Establish a governance framework covering policies, standards, procedures, guidelines and key risks impacting the asset.
* Define and embed clear accountabilities for ownership and control across the framework.
* Design and maintain a risk‐based compliance methodology aligned to business priorities ensuring compliance to standards by embedding assurance controls and audit approach across the asset.
* Manage and coordinate regulatory interfaces as it relates to the asset.
* Manage document control and document management systems and processes, review cycles and approve deviations or waivers to standards.
* Provide technical guidance for delivery and operations in setting the performance, safety and compliance requirements.
* Manage the coordination of third party access / wayleave requests.
* Champion governance, risk and continuous improvement, while mentoring and developing capability.

Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification (mandatory).
* 5years senior leadership experience in asset management, risk, assurance, governance or compliance (mandatory).
* Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) or equivalent from other jurisdictions (mandatory).
* Lean or 6Sigma awareness or experience (preferred).
* Awareness or experience working with or maintaining operating models (preferred).
