We are seeking a senior M365/AD Engineer for a high priority, 6 month contract to drive the technical integration of two major Australian telecommunications networks. Following a recent high profile acquisition, this role is heavily delivery focused and will lead the hands on migration and consolidation of our user environments. You will be responsible for seamlessly moving users, data, and security policies from a legacy environment into a core Microsoft 365 and Entra ID tenant, ensuring minimal business disruption. Key Responsibilities Lead the technical transfer of user accounts and mailboxes between separate M365 environments. Merge separate Active Directory environments into a single, unified identity system utilising Microsoft Entra ID. Configure and refine Conditional Access policies to ensure robust, identity based security across the newly merged organisation. Utilise PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API to automate repetitive migration tasks and optimise user lifecycle management. Assist with moving endpoints over to a modern, cloud managed model using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot. Technical Requirements Extensive experience managing large scale Microsoft 365 tenant to tenant migrations, ideally born out of corporate mergers or acquisitions. Deep technical knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and Microsoft Entra ID. High level PowerShell scripting skills are essential for handling bulk changes, scripting, and custom reporting. Hands on experience managing devices and security policies through Microsoft Intune. Familiarity with the ASD Essential Eight or similar enterprise security frameworks is highly regarded.
