Join our clinical team supporting the New England community
We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our General Practice team at the UNE Life Healthcare Centre in Armidale.

If you thrive on variety, value meaningful patient connections, and want to contribute to a purpose-led, not-for-profit organisation—this could be the next step in your nursing career.
About the role
You'll work closely with our GPs and admin team to support the delivery of high-quality primary care services. The role is focused on preventative health, chronic disease management, immunisations, wound care, and supporting clinical procedures in a general practice setting.
You'll need to be comfortable managing your own time, adapting to patient needs on the day, and contributing to the continued improvement of our services.
Remuneration will align with relevant experience and qualifications.
Key responsibilities
- Support GP consults and assist with minor procedures
- Manage recalls and reminders for chronic disease and preventative health
- Provide immunisations (childhood, travel, flu, COVID)
- Perform ECGs, spirometry, wound care, and health assessments
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Engage with patients to deliver safe and compassionate care
- Contribute to the implementation of clinical policies and quality improvement
What we're looking for (but limited to)
- Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA registration (unrestricted)
- Strong background in general practice or community health
- Applicants with any level of general practice or community health experience will be considered
- Current CPR certification (ALS preferred but not essential)
- Proficiency in clinical software (e.g., Best Practice or similar)
- Training will be provided for clinical software systems
- Confidence in handling immunisations and clinical procedures
- Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a close-knit team
- Must have Australian work authorisation at time of application
