Information Communications and Technology Support Officer
The School of Special Educational Needs: Disability (SSEN:D) is seeking an innovative, dedicated Information Communication Technology (ICT) Support Officer to join our team from Term 3, 2026 in a full‑time, permanent position.
About SSEN:D
SSEN:D is one of eight Specialist Schools within Statewide Services. We partner with schools to provide collaborative support and resources that promote learning environments where every student’s potential is realised. Support is provided state‑wide through a Request for Assistance model that matches the needs of schools to the skill set of Consulting Teachers.
We commit to building the capability of teachers and school‑based staff within a culture of support to ensure every student with disability is a successful student, providing consultancy services to educators, contextualised and evidence‑informed professional learning, online research, information, resources and practical support in our service delivery model.
We encourage staff to share knowledge and exhibit self‑reflective practices, with a focus on quality teaching. Self‑improvement is supported through a range of Professional Learning Communities.
Our teams are based at Statewide Services Centre (Padbury), South Hub (South Lake Primary School), and regional centres across the State. The successful applicant will predominantly work out of our Padbury hub, with regular visits to support staff at our South hub and regionally where required.
The Role
The ICT Support Officer will provide training, advice and support to staff on desktop and software applications. They will maintain accurate records of the school’s ICT systems and equipment across multiple sites to maximise educational and administrative outcomes, including researching and identifying appropriate hardware, software and infrastructure.
Coordination and support of telephones, mobile phones and other portable electronic devices across multiple sites is a key responsibility. Updating internal user system access, roles, information and system permissions may also be required.
They may liaise with vendors, service providers and other internal or external stakeholders for provision of services and resolution of issues, including coordination of the acquisition, deployment, replacement and recording of ICT equipment across the school.
Equity and Diversity
We are committed to an inclusive and culturally responsive workforce reflecting the diversity in our schools and the Western Australian community. We welcome and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, young people, people of diverse sexualities and genders, people with disability, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
