About the role

As an Inspector in Metropolitan Construction

Compliance, you will be responsible for:

- Undertaking proactive site inspections, responding to customer requests, completing preliminary incident investigations, delivering presentations, and working with major industry stakeholders to improve safety standards.
- Providing advice regarding secure work practices and how to comply with work health and safety legislation.
- Producing high quality reports to confirm your actions.
- Ensuring internal administrative compliance by completing travel, expense, and time keeping records.
- Contributing to a positive, supportive, and fun workplace.

About You

- Equivalent relevant qualifications and experience in the building industry and a working understanding of safety requirements applicable to construction.
- Strong communication skills to engage and influence key stakeholders to improve regulatory outcomes.
- High level written communication skills and an ability to understand comprehensive and / or technical reports.
- Well established resilience skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating programs or projects of work.
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of digital technology.
- Work a 38-hour working week, including some weekends and participate in the After-Hours Emergency Response Service
- Receive an attractive salary package along with the required tools of the trade, including a vehicle with access to private use (currently at a cost of approximately $210 per fortnight)
- Be able to access flexible working conditions within operational requirements

Essential requirements

- Ability to travel, work remotely and out of usual business hours
- Hold a NSW ‘C’ class drivers' licence with a satisfactory safe driving record and a requirement to maintain the safe driving record throughout employment
- Satisfactory criminal record check
- Satisfactory medical assessment capacity regarding physical and psychological impacts of the inherent duties of the role
