Job Description
About the Role: Step into the essential role of Cook and support our Kitchen Team Leader and Site Manager in delivering high-quality catering services. Your role is crucial in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals, enhancing their dining experience, and contributing to our mission of holistic care.
What You'll Do:
* Prepare meals according to standard recipes and rotating menus, ensuring proper portion sizes, textures, nutrition, and service temperature.
* Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen and ensure all equipment is clean and functional.
* Support the Kitchen Team Leader in delivering quality food services and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
* Ensure residents receive appetising and nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.
* Comply with the Food Act 2006 (Qld) and Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven ability in food preparation, stock control, and kitchen operations.
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
* Positive outlook and approach, with a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
* Police Check
* Pre-employment medical assessment
