Family Violence/Sexual Assault Counsellor – Contract Counsellor – Indigenous Support Services
Responsibilities
* Providing therapeutic case management and counselling to children, young people, adults, families and carers in the area of sexual assault, family violence, abuse and inappropriate/harmful sexual behaviours.
* Provision of individual counselling and support as negotiated with Service Users, using a flexible approach that may integrate therapeutic work, advocacy, psycho‐education, protective behaviours and safety planning.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in counselling, social work or mental health.
* Stable employment history.
* WWCC.
* Sensitivity to Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander culture and families.
* Experience with Indigenous families, women, youth, mums and trauma.

Employment Details
