Role details The Continuing Care Team at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Mental Health Clinician (Occupational Therapist or Psychologist or Social Worker or Clinical Nurse) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health case-management services to adults with a chronic and/or severe mental illness and adjunct co-morbidities.
Case-management will include assessment, intervention and treatment as well as group work as required, in accordance with professional standards and legislation (Mental Health ACT ****; State and national plans and policies).
About the Team The Mental Health and AOD Service is comprised of eight clinical teams across the MHHS.
The Mental Health Service is responsible for the provision of comprehensive, specialised mental health assessment and treatment services across the age-spectrum for people with severe and complex mental health problems.
Our services aim to be consumer focused and recovery oriented and are provided in a variety of settings including community, an acute inpatient unit, hospitals and emergency departments.
About our Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
