Hays is currently partnering with various clients who are in need of site-based Project Engineers. Long-term employment and short-term assignments are available on 2:1 or 8:6 rosters.
About the role:
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects. You'll work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage construction and earthworks packages from start to finish.
* Develop and review project plans, specifications, and construction methodologies.
* Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
* Prepare and maintain project documentation and progress reports.
* Assist in cost control, procurement, and scheduling activities.
What you'll need to succeed:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
* 5+ years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on construction and/or earthworks.
* Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and QA/QC processes.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug/Alcohol screening.
* Full Australian working rights.
What you'll get in return:

* $105-$115 per hour, based on experience;
