The Role
The Melbourne office is seeking a
Junior Financial Accountant
to join a growing Finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Director, this role will support the financial management of a national portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable
* Account reconciliations, including inter-company
* Assisting with monthly management accounts and dashboards
* Supporting periodic ATO, SRO and WorkCover reporting
* Accounting for the company trust account
* Liaising with external tax agents on compliance, trust audits, FBT and other reporting
* Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
* Supporting cashflow management and forecasting
* Maintaining and updating financial models
* Implementing financial control processes
* Ad-hoc project support for the Financial Director
* About You
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or higher)
* 2+ years' experience in a similar role
* Xero experience (highly regarded but not essential)
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
* Commercial and business awareness
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
* Confident verbal and written communication skills
* A proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn
* Some understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
