About the Role
We're looking for an experienced HVAC Installation Technician to join our Brisbane team. This is a full-time, permanent position working across a wide variety of commercial sites. You'll manage and complete installation projects with the support of a highly skilled team and enjoy your evenings and weekends with no on-call roster.
What You'll Bring
* QBCC Occupational Licence – Air Conditioning & Refrigeration – Mechanical Services Plumbing
* Restricted Electrical Licence
* ARCTICK Refrigerant Handling Licence
* Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
* Working with Children card (or ability to obtain)
* Current Driver's Licence
* Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card)
* Ability to pass a Police Check
* Experience in:
* Installation of DX and VRF split ducted systems
* Installation of rooftop package units and ductwork
* Installation of chilled and condenser water pipework
* Installation of water-cooled package units
* Installation of chilled water AHUs and FCUs
* Toilet and kitchen exhaust systems
* Commissioning of HVAC systems
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team
* Curiosity, a learning mindset, and strong problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and MS Office proficiency
Desirable Qualifications (Highly Regarded)
* Trade-qualified Electrical Licence (or ability to complete under PAG licence)
* Mechanical Plumber qualification
* Forklift licence
* Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets (or willingness to obtain)
* OEM VRV/VRF installation course certificates
* Trade-qualified Sheet Metal Worker
What You'll Do
* Read and interpret plans and specifications
* Install ductwork, indoor/outdoor units, and zoning systems
* Coordinate with electricians and other trades on-site
* Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 5149 standards
* Complete job checklists, commissioning reports, and client handovers
* Maintain a clean, safe, and professional worksite
* Contribute to a strong safety culture and attention to detail
* Accurately complete paperwork and timesheets
* Be available for planned after-hours or weekend work when required
