About This Role
This part-time position supports individuals to maintain their independence within their community.
* Support with daily tasks such as shopping, banking and bill payments or undertake these on the individual's behalf.
* Provide assistance with meals as required, including preparation and cooking.
* Supervise and assist with personal hygiene activities including showering, toileting, fitting/removing continence aids, catheter care, dressing/undressing, grooming, oral care, and hearing aid management.
* Enable individuals to move safely in and out of bed, support ambulation, or push/manoeuvre wheelchairs or equipment.
Key Skills and Qualifications
This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, patience and empathy when interacting with vulnerable adults. A strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively is also essential.
* Diploma in Home Care or equivalent qualification.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to provide emotional support and be non-judgmental.
* Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
