**About the Role**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our Building Services Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings across the Surf Coast Shire.
Your primary responsibilities will include leading building enforcement investigations, supporting the Municipal Building Surveyor with case management, and ensuring accurate records and adherence to legislative requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a solid background in conducting inspections in Victoria, as well as strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and dispute resolution skills.
You will work closely with our Building Surveyor to uphold building regulations and industry standards, navigating a wide range of scenarios from rural builds to mixed-use developments.

**Key Selection Criteria**
* Victorian Registered Building Inspector
* Minimum 2 years Registered Building Inspection experience
* Minimum 1 Year Local Government Building Services experience including Report and Consent, Pool Compliance, Place of Public Entertainment, customer request management, enforcement inspections
* Experience with regional/rural and coastal property concerns highly desirable
