About the Role This is an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Civil Estimator to step into a busy regional contractor and support live tenders across a varied civil project pipeline. The assignment is expected to run for 2–3 months, with flexibility to work remotely 3–4 days per week and attend the Bendigo office 1–2 days per week. Why This Role Start quickly and keep earning while the permanent market plays out Work flexibly, with most of the week from home Avoid being locked into the wrong long-term move Pick up a broad mix of civil tenders, not one repetitive package Add value quickly in a business that genuinely needs support Potential to extend or convert if the fit is right Key Responsibilities Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and scope requirements Prepare estimates, take-offs, BOQs and pricing submissions Source and assess subcontractor and supplier pricing Identify commercial risks, exclusions, opportunities and methodology issues Coordinate tender inputs with project and delivery teams Support tender handover and variation pricing where required Skills & Experience Proven estimating experience in civil construction or infrastructure Strong exposure to roads, drainage, earthworks, pavements, water or utilities Ability to work autonomously and get across tenders quickly Strong understanding of subcontractor pricing and commercial risk Confident using estimating software, Excel and digital take-off tools Available immediately or at short notice, with capacity to attend Bendigo weekly About the Company This is a well-established regional civil contractor delivering a diverse mix of civil infrastructure, earthworks, drainage, utilities, concrete and general civil projects across regional Victoria.
