As Junior Sous Chef, you will be required to provide leadership and support to the Kitchen team and participate in the daily production of food. working in conjunction with the Executive Chef and Culinary leadership team to ensure planning and direction of food service is produced to the highest quality and consistency including food preparation. quality, physical maintenance, and inventory functions, to ensure hotel quality standards and revenue goals are met and food and supply costs are controlled. Your day to day The role involves managing daily kitchen operations, setting team performance goals, and providing mentorship to improve staff performance and resolve conflicts. It includes training team members on compliance with brand standards and regulations, promoting teamwork through collaboration with other departments, and supporting events. Additionally, responsibilities encompass menu development, maintaining food safety and storage protocols, ensuring equipment functionality, adhering to health regulations, and promoting workplace health and safety initiatives. What we need from you Candidates should have completed a minimum of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or relevant equivalent, along with over two years of chef experience or an equivalent combination of education and culinary experience. Experience working in a fast-paced environment preparing and cooking high quality dishes. Additionally, they must possess current food safety certification and be fluent in English.
