Calling all passionate Horticulture candidates (Parks & Gardens, Sports Turf Management, Irrigation Technology) - WPC Group are working with multiple Local Government Councils across Perth and we are recruiting for dedicated apprentices. Work towards your nationally recognised qualification while working on a full time basis with exceptional host employers.
The Parks & Gardens Apprenticeship:
* Assist in the maintenance and care of parks, gardens, and green areas.
* Gain hands-on experience in horticultural practices, including planting, pruning, and weeding.
* Learn how to operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools.
* Participate in landscape design and implementation projects.
* Acquire a deep knowledge of plant species and their specific requirements.
* Contribute to the enhancement and sustainability of outdoor spaces.
* Collaborate with a diverse team to achieve common objectives.
* Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
The ideal Parks & Gardens Apprentice:
* Enthusiasm for the parks and gardens industry.
* A genuine interest in plants, landscaping, and outdoor maintenance.
* Strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn and grow.
* Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Previous work experience and/or Certificate II Pre-Apprenticeship - desirable
