Job Opportunity
This role focuses on ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production and distribution of utilities across our operations.
* Ensure smooth plant operations by monitoring production, supply status, and energy balance, taking timely corrective actions, and maintaining required output levels.
* Provide timely updates regarding changes to plant supply or configuration, especially during system disturbances or planned maintenance.
* Engage with operators to identify, elevate, and resolve utility-related issues impacting production.
* Maintain effective communication during shift handovers to ensure continuity of plant operations and awareness of operational changes.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to coordinate responses to breakdowns and shutdowns, ensuring timely communication when supply or quality deviates from agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Act as a point of contact for communicating high power pricing impacts, informing relevant stakeholders, and making operational adjustments.
Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring and optimizing steam, power, fuel gases, oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and salt water production and distribution.
* Ensuring utilities are delivered safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
* Coordinating closely with natural gas suppliers and customers for accurate forecasting aligned with business plans.
* Providing updates on plant supply or configuration changes, especially during system disturbances or planned maintenance.
* Engaging with operators to resolve utility-related issues impacting production.
Qualifications and Experience
We're looking for a skilled professional with:
* Advanced Boiler and Turbine Operator certification.
* Minimum 5 years' experience working in a power plant environment.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in operating plant DCS and PLC systems is also essential.
