About the role
In this important hands‐on role, of a Maintenance Officer, you will work as part of the team to ensure the general maintenance work around the home and grounds is carried out in alignment with a scheduled program. This role will also see you coordinate contractors when required and ensure all machinery and equipment is maintained in optimal operational condition. A friendly sociable personality coupled with empathy and compassion for the elderly will make you a perfect fit for this role.
Duties of the role may include
* Assistance to site with general maintenance duties.
* Ensuring communal areas are tidy and maintained in support of resident activities.
* Assessing and prioritising daily work order requests and managing timely completion of each order.
* Horticultural and grounds development, maintenance and monitoring
* Preventative maintenance of home and grounds.
* Contractor management.
* Other maintenance/gardening duties as required
What will you bring to the role
* Maintenance and/or Trade qualification (desirable)
* Previous experience and knowledge in general and commercial maintenance
* Previous experience managing contractor relationships is highly desirable
* Demonstrated ability to work from manuals and drawings
* Demonstrated problem solving and a "can do" attitude
* Exceptional people and interpersonal skills
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
* Strong decision-making and time management skills
* Ability to work as part of a team but also be capable of working autonomously
