Position
We are hiring a Commercial Analyst for our Commercial Team to develop, enhance, and manage reporting suites for executive and cross-functional stakeholders. This role involves analyzing data to identify trends, improving operational and financial performance, and providing actionable insights to meet company targets.
Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and automate accurate dashboards and reports for internal/external stakeholders to monitor business performance
* Analyse spends and commercial data to generate actionable insights
* Extract, manipulate, and analyse data to support ad-hoc queries and reporting requirements
* Conduct commercial analysis, price modelling, and cost analysis for new business tenders and existing operations
* Maintain, audit, and update customer/subcontractor rate cards and pricing elements in the operating system
* Develop rate calculators and support rate queries from Customer Service Teams
* Provide management support for ad-hoc queries, data requests, and report generation
* Evaluate and implement proprietary KPI methodologies to improve efficiency
* Analyse automotive industry trends to provide recommendations for future business decisions
* Perform system administration, including rate uploads, invoice reconciliation, and quote registration
* Run training workshops to educate stakeholders on new analytics products, solutions, and updates
* Align reporting across teams to improve consistency and visibility
Qualifications
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar position
* Experience in data extraction, data cleansing and data visualisation & communication
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information
* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and consistent reporting of data
* Advanced computer literacy including Microsoft Office products with a high level of expertise in Excel, Access & SQL
* Experience on the commercial side, and decidedly hands-on and not just theoretical
* Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of management
* Experience with data relating to customer management, business operational performance and improvement
* Self-organised with the ability to operate independently and deliver quality work
Nice to have
* Exposure to SQL would be advantageous
* Exposure to Transport and Logistics industry is desirable
