About the team
Spatial Services, a division of the Department of Customer Service is the key provider of spatial land information services in New South Wales. Spatial Services' integrated framework connects the people of NSW to a comprehensive package of land and property services including property information, surveying and mapping. Spatial Services' provides land information services to individuals, businesses, government agencies and non-profit organisations throughout NSW, Australia and internationally.
As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for planning, creating, testing, and documenting new and amended software components. You will also play a key role in modernising Spatial Services' legacy ESRI applications to cloud services. Your expertise will be crucial in providing technical mentoring support, advice, and assistance in resolving software and data issues. You will also guide team members in developing effective solutions.
Your day-to-day
* The Ability to design and enhance applications and services to manage spatial and associated data, integrating with on-premises and cloud-based databases and systems.
* Uplifting and modernising on prem Spatial Applications and custom end user applications to AWS Cloud Services
* Proven experience in analysing and translating business requirements into workable technical solutions
* Ability to undertake administration, testing and deployment of applications utilising agile methodologies
* Demonstrated experience collaborating with team members, other business units and agencies to deliver consistent, business-aligned solutions based on shared knowledge and understanding
* Ability to understand complex processes and information workflows and show initiative to support the broader operations
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
* Spatial solutions development skills in spatial applications such as ESRI ArcGIS (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap) using C#.NET, Python, Arcade for ESRI Addins and Python geoprocessing tool and services.
* Experience in ArcGIS Enterprise (Server, Portal), ESRI Workflow Manager Server and ArcGIS Monitor
* Source code version control repositories (preferably Git) and associated platforms (such as BitBucket, GitHub, etc.).
* Automated deployments via CI/CD pipelines and associated platforms (such as AWS Code Pipeline, Bamboo, BitBucket Pipeline, etc.).
* Databases and associated processing and storage techniques (such as ETL – extracting, transforming, loading, ESRI version management).
* Cloud based development in AWS is an advantage.

* Maintenance Applications - Esri C#.NET / FME / Full Stack / Python
* Survey Applications - Database / Full Stack / Jira / Oracle Forms
