**About the Role**
CareSouth's service delivery is expanding with a new program that ensures children and young people with disabilities are supported in a therapeutic setting to help them thrive. Working with the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), the Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) model supports children and young people who are unable to be supported in foster care or require specialised and intensive supports to maintain stability in their care arrangements.
Please note: full-time and part-time staff will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, sleepovers, and if a client needs change (awake night shift).
As a Support Worker in an ITC model you will:
- Support children/young people to achieve personal goals
- Assist children/young people to build their personal resilience and navigate complex emotions and triggers
- Support connection to family & culture
- Encourage and aid participation in education & extracurricular activities to promote competence and stability in day-to-day life
- Transport and daily care as required
- Work alongside our clinical and casework team with children and young people at the forefront of all practice.
