About the Role
Grafton Base Hospital is seeking qualified Specialists in General Paediatrics to provide contemporary comprehensive specialist General Paediatric services for optimal patient outcomes at the Network Hospitals including inpatient services, outpatient clinics, Hospital in the Home and consultancy where applicable. The successful applicant will also provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

It is a level 3/4 facility providing care to over 13,000 inpatients each year, working closely with Maclean District Hospital and other hospitals in Northern NSW and tertiary hospitals in Southern Queensland to support community healthcare needs. Qualifications and Requirements
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Paediatrician, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways
* Recent clinical experience in General Paediatrics and Neonatal Medicine at the appropriate service level
* Experience in Child and Adolescent medicine and care for children with complex needs
* Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership
* Effective clinical communication using information technology and strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement
* Valid unrestricted NSW/Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel, on-call availability, and on-site response within a reasonable timeframe
