We are currently seeking two 3rd or 4th year Electrical Apprentices who have a genuine passion for electrical work and want to broaden their skills and experience with our client, Siemens. Undertaking this apprenticeship will allow you to become qualified and earn your UEE Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician qualification.

One of the world's largest producers of energy‐efficient, resource‐saving technologies, Siemens is a leading supplier of systems for power generation and transmission as well as medical diagnosis. They also play a pioneering role in infrastructure and industry solutions. As an apprentice at Siemens, you will be installing and commissioning Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear and equipment, and initiating preventative and corrective maintenance of LV and MV equipment.
This is a full‐time position where local travel in Melbourne and surrounding areas on a day‐to‐day basis is expected, so a driver's licence is essential. At a minimum, you will need to hold a P licence. Any overnight stay will have accommodation provided.
Your Duties
* Help install and support LV/MV switchgear, control panels and protection/relay cabinets under a licensed electrician
* Assist with cable‐laying termination areas, and mechanical installation around transformers, circuit breakers
* Learn safety systems, permits, switched schedules and isolation procedures specific to substation environments

About You
* Be a third‐ or fourth‐year electrical apprentice and be able to provide a copy of your training plan and training contract
* Willingness to learn and a positive attitude
* Electrical aptitude and problem‐solving skills essential
* Excellent communication skills
* Adaptable to change
* Reliable and punctual
* Attention to detail
* Time management
* Good safety awareness
* Driver's licence (P minimum) and own vehicle
* Ability to pass a Medical, Drug & Alcohol Test and Police Check
