About the role
As the Enterprise Account Executive for Anthropic's Industries team, you will drive the adoption of safe frontier AI by securing strategic deals with top enterprises across Australia, unlocking new value streams throughout their business. You will leverage consultative sales expertise and technical acumen to propel revenue growth while becoming a trusted partner to customers, helping them embed and deploy AI and uncover its full capabilities. You will work closely with GTM, Product, Engineering, and cross‐functional teams to refine our value proposition, sales methodology, and market positioning.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the Industries team GTM strategy, identify new use cases within assigned verticals, win new business, and share feedback with cross‐functional teams.
* Drive strategic expansion within key accounts in established verticals and acquire new logos in emerging verticals.
* Break into new accounts and cross‐sell into existing business alongside our existing Account Executives.
* Own a revenue target and all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting to close, including outbounding and engaging Tier 1 accounts.
* Provide clear, conviction‐driven recommendations based on deep industry expertise.
* Prioritize organizations that can serve as lighthouse customers and references within their industries.
* Become a trusted advisor to customers, understand their unique needs, craft tailored AI solutions, co‐innovate with customers, and sell on the product roadmap while setting expectations appropriately.
* Collaborate with cross‐functional partners (product, engineering, legal, marketing, Applied AI) to bring new solutions to market and provide feedback to shape roadmaps.
* Develop sales collateral, proposals, and presentations to position Anthropic's AI products, continuously refining tactics and sharing best practices.
Qualities You May Be a Good Fit For
* 10+ years of enterprise sales experience driving adoption of emerging technologies in a consultative, solutions‐oriented manner in the ANZ market.
* Experience selling into BFSI, Media, Energy, Manufacturing, Retail, Telco, and Transportation verticals.
* Track record of managing complex sales cycles and securing strategic deals by understanding multifaceted technical requirements and crafting tailored solutions.
* Ability to navigate dynamic stakeholder ecosystems, build consensus, and provide innovative solutions to disparate groups.
* Extensive experience negotiating highly complex, customized commercial agreements with multiple stakeholders.
* Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in fast‐paced organizations by managing an evolving pipeline and sales process.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to present confidently and build connections at all customer levels, from ICs to C‐level executives.
* Ability to bring order to chaos and a collaborative, \"roll‐up‐your‐sleeves\" mentality.
* Strategic, analytical approach to assessing markets combined with creative, tactical execution to capture opportunities.
* Passion for and/or experience with advanced AI systems; strong commitment to ensuring frontier AI systems are developed safely.
Logistics
* Minimum education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
* Required field of study: Relevant to the role through coursework, training, or professional experience.
* Minimum years of experience: Required to align with internal job level expectations.
* Location‐based hybrid policy: Expectation of spending at least 25 % of time in an office.
