About The Role

As the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Clinical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening clinical excellence across our Maternal and Child Health Service. This position is responsible for providing expert clinical leadership, mentoring, and support to MCH nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to families within the community.

Working closely with the Team Leader Family Health and key stakeholders, you will offer secondary consultation and guidance on complex clinical cases, support best practice decision-making, and contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment. You will lead initiatives that enhance professional development, identify training needs, and deliver targeted learning opportunities to build capability across the service.

The role also focuses on continuous quality improvement, ensuring adherence to Victorian Maternal and Child Health Guidelines and professional standards, while promoting a culture of reflective practice, safety, and excellence in care. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, you will work with multidisciplinary teams and external services to support integrated and responsive outcomes for children and families.

About You

You are an experienced and passionate Maternal and Child Health Nurse with a strong commitment to clinical excellence and supporting others to succeed.

You have demonstrated experience in providing clinical leadership, including mentoring individuals and teams, reviewing complex cases, and delivering informed, evidence-based guidance.

You are confident in supporting practitioners to navigate complex family and child health needs, whilst being approachable, supportive, and non-judgemental, with a genuine passion for fostering a positive team culture.

Mandatory Requirements

* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife.
* Postgraduate qualification in Maternal & Child Health Nursing or Child & Family Health, recognised for practice in Victoria.
* Current Working with Children Check.
* Current Victorian Driver's Licence.

Successful applicants are required to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children's Check.
