About the Role
As a Civil Construction Trainer & Assessor, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment to apprentices, trainees, and industry participants across a range of civil construction competencies. You will facilitate both classroom and practical training while ensuring compliance with training package requirements and workplace health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and assess civil construction training programs
* Facilitate engaging classroom, workshop, and practical field-based training
* Conduct competency-based assessments and provide learner feedback
* Maintain accurate training, assessment, and compliance records
* Support and mentor students, apprentices, and trainees
* Ensure compliance with RTO standards, training packages, and WHS requirements
* Participate in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities
* Liaise with employers and industry stakeholders as required
Skills & Experience
* Relevant industry qualification in Civil Construction or related field
* Extensive hands-on industry experience within civil construction
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) or willingness to obtain
* Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, equipment, and safety procedures
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Current driver's licence
Desirable
* Experience operating civil construction plant and equipment
* Previous training, mentoring, or supervisory experience
* High Risk Work Licence and relevant industry tickets
* Experience within mining, infrastructure, roadworks, or construction projects
