As a lecturer in our School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences, you will be part of a team dedicated to delivering evidence-based education focused on improving mental health and wellbeing across individuals, organisations, and communities.
You will design and deliver engaging learning experiences, develop teaching materials and assessments, supervise students, and lead or collaborate on impactful research projects.
We are seeking a motivated academic with discipline expertise in psychological theory and/or practice. You will bring experience teaching in higher education, a growing research profile, and a passion for student success through multi-modal delivery.
Strong communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with the ability to contribute to the broader academic community.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate, deliver, and review academic units in psychology.
* Conduct research and publish peer-reviewed papers in health behaviour change or related areas.
* Foster positive student engagement and collaboration within academic teams.
* Develop and implement teaching materials, assessments, and evaluation methods.
Requirements
* PhD (or near completion) in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate psychology students.
* Proven record of research excellence, including publications and potential to attract research funding.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
